This probably wont serve as the most popular in the germinal of blogs on the topic of abuse, but that is not its purpose. However it is my belief that people should know and understand their own role in abuse.
This does not involve situations where harmless victims are assaulted or mistreated in any way. Nor does this article pertain to children that are abused by guardians, parents, or even strangers. Adults are responsible for the abuse, neglect, and unfair acts that they carry out on children that are under their supervision, discretion, and authority.
This article is for those that set themselves up for failure by telling themselves "I will lose, just can't make, or not good enough".
How many times will we cancel out success by being our own worse enemy. Some times people in positions who should build us up on the contrary are the ones that tear us down. The Bible tells us let God be the truth and every man a liar, a reminder that we should get into the Bible and understand His messages for ourselves. Then we must take back the power to carry out God's purpose for our lives even when the friends, family, bosses, and others in authority positions speak against our purpose, and capability. Finally, remember "with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible" Matthew 19.26
